How it works

  • This assessment is free of charge and allows us to see the instrument up close and gauge what work will be necessary.

    we will then provide you with a detailed estimate for your approval before any work is carried out.

    Please note this appointment will be for the assessment only and repair will then be booked into our schedule, but during busy time of the year it can expect a completion date within 2-3 weeks,

  • For each assessment we allot 30 mins of “on the spot” repairs. Where possible we can carry out small adjustments and fixes on the spot, examples of this will be things like;

    • correcting a single bent key

    • installing one pad

    • adjusting simple key regulation

    • re-gluing small amounts of loose key felt/cork

    please note these repairs will be at the technicians discretion and charged at a rate of £70 per hour not inclusive of parts.

  • At the end of the assessment you will be sent a full estimate of proposed repair work an estimated completion date. (this could be within 2-3 weeks of assessment)

    Please note this estimate is for labour only and parts will be charged additionally at the point of invoice

    If anything else is discovered during the course of the repair we will always notify you with an updated estimate for you to approve.

  • Once all repair work is completed you will be sent an electronic invoice with any parts included, and any notes from the technician about the repair.

    This can be paid online via the link or with a card/cash on collection,
