Our Full Terms & Conditions
-
✺ Minimum Term
The minimum term of the standard rental service is 2 months. Instruments returned before the minimum term ends will result in the remainder of the minimum term being deducted from the holding deposit prior to its return.
-
✺ Payments
Please note that this is not interest free payment plan, although we can offer up to a maximum of 3 months or rental towards the cost of a new instrument no more than this can be offered as we are not a registered lender.
Payments are taken on a rolling monthly cycle via Direct Debit using the GoCardless platform.
The first payment is due upon the date of instrument collection/delivery and all others intervals until either the customer concludes the rental agreement by returning the instrument, opting to purchase the instrument, or the service provider ends the agreement with the appropriate one month notice.
-
✺ Security Deposit
A refundable deposit of £60 is taken by card in advance of the instrument being rented. This deposit is held until the rental agreement is concluded and will be refunded in full, less any deductions, upon return or purchase of the instrument.
-
✺ Insurance
All instruments are conditionally insured against damage, which is included in the cost of the rental agreement. An excess payment equivalent to two months rent is payable upon all claims relating to damage & repair of the instrument. This insurance does *not* cover theft, loss or damage resulting from clear misuse of the instrument.
Lost or stolen instruments will need to be settled at full retail price, minus the holding deposit and paid excess.
Damage repair decisions are at the discretion of the staff member assessing the instrument.
Should the instrument require a repair taking longer than 2 working days a replacement instrument will be provided for the duration of the repair.
The customer is fully responsible for ensuring the instrument is not lost or stolen.
-
✺ Consumables
Limited consumables are provided with each instrument, such as cork grease, reeds or valve oil. Customers can purchase additional consumables directly from us at a discounted rate should they run out during the period of rental.
All other consumables are the responsibility of the customer.
-
✺ Rent-To-Buy
Please note that this is not interest free payment plan, although we can offer up to a maximum of 3 months or rental towards the cost of a new instrument no more than this can be offered as we are not a registered lender.
Customers on the standard rental scheme can opt to purchase a NEW instrument at any time during their rental agreement after the minimum term has expired. (Please note that you will be purchasing a new instrument and not the instrument that has been rented.)
A discount off the purchase price equivalent to half the rental paid is provided for each month ( up to 6 months) that the instrument has been rented for.
Customers wishing to purchase a NEW instrument should contact us directly.

Yes — the instrument is conditionally insured against damage, and this cost is included in the rental fee.
There is an excess equal to two months’ rent payable on any claim related to damage or repair.
This insurance does not cover theft, loss, or damage from clear misuse or negligence.
In the event of loss or theft, you will be required to settle the full retail price (minus the deposit and any excess paid).
If repairs take longer than 2 working days, we will provide a replacement instrument (subject to availability) for the repair duration.

After you have completed the minimum term, you can opt into the rent-to-buy scheme.
Under this scheme, you receive a discount equivalent to half the total rent paid (up to a maximum of 6 months) off the price of a new tenor saxophone.
Note: you will be purchasing a new instrument (not the actual instrument you have rented).
If you wish to upgrade to a better model during the rental, this may be possible — the difference in rent and any additional deposit would apply, subject to availability.
