Monthly Trombone Rental
Our Full Terms & Conditions
-
✺ Minimum Term
The minimum term of the standard rental service is 2 months. Returning the instrument before the minimum term ends will result in the remainder of the minimum term being deducted from the holding deposit prior to its return.
-
✺ Payments
Please note that this is not interest free payment plan, although we can offer up to a maximum of 3 months of rental towards the cost of a new instrument no more than this can be offered as we are not a registered lender.
Payments are taken on a rolling monthly cycle via Direct Debit using the GoCardless platform.
The first payment is due upon the date of instrument collection/delivery and all others intervals until either the customer concludes the rental agreement by returning the instrument, opting to purchase the instrument, or the service provider ends the agreement with the appropriate one-month notice.
-
✺ Security Deposit
A refundable deposit of £60 is taken by card in advance of the instrument being rented. This deposit is held until the rental agreement is concluded and will be refunded in full, less any deductions, upon return or purchase of the instrument.
-
✺ Insurance
All instruments are conditionally insured against damage which is included in the cost of the rental agreement. An excess payment equivalent to two months rent is payable upon all claims relating to damage and repair of the instrument. This insurance does *not* cover theft, loss or damage resulting from clear misuse of the instrument.
Lost or stolen instruments will need to be settled at full retail price, minus the holding deposit and paid excess.
Damage repair decisions are at the discretion of the staff member assessing the instrument.
Should the instrument require a repair taking longer than 2 working days a replacement instrument will be provided for the duration of the repair.
The customer is fully responsible for ensuring the instrument is not lost or stolen.
-
✺ Consumables
Limited consumables are provided with each instrument, such as cork grease, reeds or valve oil. Customers can purchase additional consumables directly from us at a discounted rate should they run out during the period of rental.
All other consumables are the responsibility of the customer.
-

Trombone Rental FAQs

Damage insurance is included in the cost of rental, with an excess equivalent to two months’ rent for repair claims.
The policy does not cover theft, loss, or damage from misuse or gross negligence.
If a repair takes longer than 2 working days, we will endeavour to provide a replacement instrument for the duration of the repair (subject to availability).
Lost or stolen instruments must be settled at the full retail price, less your deposit and any excess already paid

Your trombone rental comes with the standard necessary accessories (case, mouthpiece, slide oil/grease, cleaning materials). (This aligns with how your site handles accessory provision for other instruments.)
You also receive a limited supply of consumables initially. If you need more during your rental, you may purchase them from us (often at a discounted price). -
After completing the minimum term, you can opt to buy a new trombone via our rent-to-buy scheme, where we’ll deduct 50% of the total rental paid (up to 6 months) from the cost of a new instrument.
You may also upgrade to a better model during the rental term if the instrument is available — you would pay the difference in monthly fees and any additional deposit as required.
